RAG QUILT CLASS Beginner  Beth Rasmussen   $40.00 Pattern Included Join us for a day of fun while making a cozy rag quilt.  It will fit any decor and keep you warm.  Machine quilted as you go and no binding!  Can be done in flannels, woven, brushed cottons or homespun's. Saturday May 8th ~  10:30am - 3:30pm	ONE FABRIC WONDER Beginner/Intermediate   Beth Rasmussen $25.00 Pattern Included In this technique class you will learn how to make fabulous flower four patches from just one fabric.  These blocks can then be assembled into a quilt by simply adding sashing, or used as part of another block such as the Churndash  or Variable Star. FUSIBLE WEB 101 Beginner        Martha Davidson      $25.00  Pattern Included Love the look of appliqué but don't have the time for hand sewing.  This is the class for you!  All the basics will be covered including how to transfer patterns, the different types of fusible webs, fusing, satin stitch, blanket stitch/buttonhole stitch, decorative threads and more. Saturday May 15th ~ 10:00am - 12:30pm	MACHINE QUILTING 101 Beginner Linda Hubbard $40.00 Frustrated by instructions to "quilt as desired" - experience the basics of machine quilting - layering your quilt, the tools & equipment necessary to do the job.  Learn about battings, threads, needles, free motion quilting (stipling and/or meandering), specialty threads and lots more. BEGINNERS SAMPLER QUILT Beginner Martha Davidson $80.00 Patterns Included During this 8 week course, learn the basics of quilt making while assembling a queen sized Sampler Quilt top ~ rotary cutting, strip piecing, accurate quick triangle squares, numerous piecing methods, cutting and attaching borders, quilting lingo, sashing, the perfect 1/4" seam and lots more. Tuesdays ~ May 25 June 1 8 15 22 July 6 13 & 20                     10:00am - 12:30pm   OR   6:30pm - 9:00pm	QUICK TRIPS  Beginner/Intermediate Beth Rasmussen $35.00 + Book This is the most traditional looking version of the Trip Around the World Quilt.  This is a simple strip method of sewing strips together and cutting them apart in different widths.  Unlike the traditional method there are no opposing seams to match! SERGER BASICS LEVEL 1 Beginner  Cathy Constantine   Learn the basics of using a Serger.  Threading, stopping, starting, tensions and more.  Bring your own Serger and see everything you can do with it.  Wednesday May 26th  ~  6:30pm - 9:00pm	RADIANT STAR/LONESTAR QUILT Advanced Martha Davidson $60.00 + Book Eleanor Burns' simple strip piecing and famous quick-sew techniques, allow you to create your own Radiant Star Quilt in a variety of sizes and in either a four-color or six-color star.  Sew straight strips together and then cut into "diamonds" to create the star design. SERGER BASICS LEVEL 2 Beginner Cathy Constantine   $25.00 Notes Given Finished the basics and want to learn to do more with your serger - then this is the class for you!  Lace, elastic, stretch fabrics, necklines and more.  Wednesday June 9th  ~  6:30pm - 9:00pm	A word about copyrighted material -   As you know, some of the classes we offer require you to purchase a book or pattern.  Since the information contained in those books and patterns is considered "copyrighted" material, it is illegal to photocopy all or any portion of the information, even just to share with a friend to use during a class.  We all want to support the creative efforts of the hard-working Designers who develop our favourite quilt patterns and encourage them to continue to publish and create.  In order to do that, we must properly compensate them for sharing their ideas with us by purchasing their books and patterns.  Thank you for your cooperation and consideration!
PFAFF CLUB Beginner Martha Davidson $25.00 Per Year Join us once a month to learn more about your Pfaff Sewing Machine, feet, threads, needles and accessories.  A few spaces are still available.  Spaces available Jan. 2011 Starting Monday, January 31st, 2011	. THIMBLEBERRIES CLUB 2011          OR      THIMBLEBERRIES  BLOCK OF THE MONTH 2011         Watch for a new quilt this coming Fall.  You can also check online at:  www.thimbleberries.com           Available for pick up when convenient to you.  Can't make it in to the store or live out of town ~ we'll mail them to you!
